A list of head coaches who have gotten contract extensions, and their record when they got the extension.
1. Jamie Craighead- San Jose St.
Contract extension after 3 years, June 30, 2016-39-55; 23-29 Mt. West, after the 2015-16 season! That is a record of 18-42 since signing the extension!
In addition, there is a clause in her contract, that if she has a winning record, a year is automatically added to her contract.! You have to select San Jose St. on the drop down menu to find out her contract.
2. Jerry Finkbeiner- Utah St.
Contract extension after 5 years; March 6, 2017 with a 71-83 record, 44-46 in the Mt. West; after the 2016-17 season. He went 7-23, 4-13, in 2017-18!!
3. Kathy Olivier- UNLV
Contract extension after 9 years, August 25, 2017, with 138-146 record,73-77 in Mt. West, after the 2016-17 season. UNLV went 19-12, 14-4 in the Mt. West. So in ten years, she has had four winning seasons and no trips to the NCAA! In the Mt. West without Utah, BYU, TCU, and a good New Mexico team for most of her time.
Obviously, she did not receive a 9 year contract when she first got the UNLV job. So, she received a contract extension earlier. Her record after five years was 72-85, and 33-45 in the Mt. West.
UNLV fired their previous head coach, a black female, Regina Miller, after 10 years, with a record of175-125, 66-57 9 years in MW. 6 winning
seasons. 1 NCAA, with Utah, BYU, & TCU, & a good New Mexico in
Mt. West.
4. Charity Elliott- LMU
Contract extension during the middle of her 6th year, Jan 2, 2018. 5 year record of 54-99, 31-57 in WCC. LMU went 19-11, 11-7, during the 17-18 season.
She has had a three year record as head coach at Portland St. 27-57; 15-29 in the Big Sky from 2004-05 to 2006-07.
5. Bradley Davis- Pacific
Contract extension after 3rd year, November 1, 2018. 38-55, 18-36 WCC
6. Jennifer Roos- Bowling Green
Contract extension after her 3rd season, March 9, 2015; 63-37; 30-22 which included a huge drop off from year two to year three- 30-5, 17-1 to 9-21, 2-16. Year three started a streak of losing seasons, which led to Bowling Green firing Roos on March 8, 2018. They had to buy out the last year of that extension she signed back in 2015.
7. Bonnie Henrickson- UCSB
Contract extension during the middle of the 3rd season- Jan 17, 2018. Had a 28-36 record after two years. Finished the 2017-18 season with a 12-17 record.
8. Joe Tartamella St. John's
An extension announced on Decemeber 22, 2014, after two years as HC, until the 2019-20 season.
An extension announced on November 19, 2018, until the 2023-24 season.
